At Snout & About Mobile Spa, our goal is to provide a calm, fear-free grooming experience for every dog.
The following policies help ensure a safe, respectful, and stress-free environment — for your dog, for you, and for us.

All clients are asked to review and agree to these policies prior to their appointment.

🐾 Health & Safety

  • Grooming may reveal or worsen pre-existing medical conditions. Snout & About Mobile Spa is not responsible for medical conditions that arise during or after grooming unless directly caused by negligence.

  • In the event of an emergency where immediate veterinary care is required and we are unable to reach you, we will transport your dog to the nearest veterinary facility or the veterinarian listed on your file. Any veterinary expenses are the responsibility of the pet owner.

  • Dogs must be up to date on rabies vaccination if over 6 months of age, unless a veterinarian provides written documentation stating otherwise. Distemper and Bordetella vaccines are recommended but not required.

  • Dogs who are pregnant, in heat, under the influence of sedatives, or visibly ill may be turned away for their safety.

🌿 Fear-Free & Holistic Grooming Practices

  • We work at your dog’s pace. Breaks are always allowed and encouraged.

  • Your dog’s emotional well-being will always come before completing a service.

  • If at any point your dog becomes overly stressed or unsafe to groom, we reserve the right to stop or modify services to protect their emotional and physical well-being.

  • If grooming must be stopped, you will be charged for the portion of the service completed.

  • Owners must disclose any history of biting, aggression, anxiety, or medical concerns prior to the appointment.

Our goal is not perfection — it is comfort, trust, and a positive experience your dog can feel safe returning to.

🐕 Parasites & Contagious Conditions

  • Dogs showing signs of contagious illness, coughing unrelated to heart or tracheal issues, conjunctivitis, skin infections, strong skunk odor, or internal/external parasites may be turned away at check-in.

  • If fleas are discovered after grooming has begun, a $100 flea sanitation fee will be charged to cover deep cleaning and cancellation of remaining appointments to prevent spread.

📅 Appointments & Availability

  • Clients must be available during the scheduled arrival window unless prior arrangements are made.

  • If a client is unavailable upon arrival, we will attempt to contact you up to three times.

  • If we are unable to reach you within 15 minutes, the appointment will be considered a no-show, and the full service fee will be due.

❌ Cancellations & No-Shows

  • A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.

  • Appointments canceled within 48 hours will be charged 50% of the scheduled service cost.

  • If an appointment is canceled after the groomer is en route, 100% of the scheduled service cost will be due.

  • After three no-shows or late cancellations, future services may no longer be offered.

These policies help protect appointment availability for all clients and allow us to provide unrushed, individualized care.

💳 Payments

  • Payment is due on the day of service.

  • Accepted forms of payment include cash, check, Visa, and MasterCard.

  • Returned checks will incur a $25 fee, in addition to any bank charges.

  • Credit card payments not completed on the day of service may incur a $5 per day late fee.

📸 Photos & Media

  • Photos of your dog may be used on our website or social media for marketing purposes.

  • Please notify us in advance if you do not wish for your dog’s photo to be shared.

🌧 Weather, Illness & Vehicle Issues

  • In the event of severe weather, illness, or vehicle issues, every effort will be made to contact you and reschedule your appointment at the next available time.

🔐 Privacy

  • All client information is kept confidential and will never be sold or shared.
